All Shelter Buddy users are encouraged to forward suggestions
and ideas for new features or alternative ways the system currently
deals with a task, these suggestions are reviewed constantly and,
if seen as a benefit to the majority of users, are added to the system
and downloaded to your site with an email advising the system administrator
of the changes and operational details - the on-line help is automatically
updated. This is all done seamlessly. Customers have access to the
Development Website so you can review the new enhancements as they
are being developed.

Training – Getting the most out of your Software
The easy part of the implementation is installing the software,
the hardest part and most important task of the implementation is training
the staff to use the software to its full potential. A major advantage
with Shelter Buddy is that it was designed by Animal Shelter staff
with the assistance of suitably qualified process and management experts;
therefore the system is very practical and logical. Most users are
competent with the system after only 1 or 2 hours training with a comprehensive
knowledge and ability to use their required modules within days of
practical use. Online help, free call phone assistance, easy to read
hard copy manuals are all part of the Shelter Buddy training regime.

The system has on line help, which can also be printed out for
hard copy reference if required. The software is supplied with hard
copy and CD training and implementation manuals when first installed.

Accessibility
The system is accessible by anyone you wish from anywhere in
the world provided they that have Internet access and the system passwords
as authorized by your system administrator. The system is currently
working in locations via the standard telephone line, CDMA wireless
networks, data lines and broadband connections. The system performs
best with an enhanced Internet connection sized correctly to meet your
data transmission needs.

Hardware Required
The System can be hosted offsite at an Internet ISP, or you can
have the system loaded on a server on your site. It is important that
the server is at least what would be considered current market entry
standard and sized according to your foreseeable future data traffic
needs. The Shelter Buddy technical staff can help provide the technical
advice for this hardware scoping exercise.

Operating System and Platform Software
The system operates through web browser software Microsoft Explorer
version 6.00 or higher. The database will reside on a server operating
Microsoft Windows 2000 or higher and utilising Microsoft SQL Server
2000. Other network operating systems including Novell and NT can also
be accommodated. The system also operates on Mozilla.

option of monthly charging based on new animal or person records created.
